Travel Vaccination Update: MeaslesJuly 2010 As many people are now looking forward to their summer holidays it may be worth noting that many European countries have a higher incidence of measles than we experience in England. If you have children going to Europe for a holiday this summer it is important to use this as an opportunity to make sure they are fully vaccinated especially with MMR and Hib/MenC.

During the summer children from all parts of Europe mix whilst on holiday. Measles is a highly infectious disease and unvaccinated children are vulnerable.

If you wish to check your child's vaccination status or wish to discuss this further please contact the surgery
