Clinics
Our surgery runs the following clinics regularly:
Ante-natal Clinic At this practice, ante-natal care is provided by the community midwife. Clinics are held on Thursdays. Pre-conception advice and post-natal checks are performed by the Practice Nurses together with contraceptive advice.
Blood Tests Blood tests are available at the surgery from 8:30 am to 11:30 am Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday by appointment with the Phlebotomist and appointments are also available with the Nurses as arranged.
Child Health Care Clinic These run in conjunction with the Health Visitors. You will be sent appointments at appropriate times.
Long Term Conditions Long term conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, asthma and COPD are regularly reviewed by the Practice Nurses where blood tests and appropriate investigations and lifestyle advice is given.
Physiotherapy A physiotherapy clinic is run by Nicky Holt, who is available for both NHS and Private referrals.
Young Persons Clinic We run a Young Persons Clinic which is a confidential call in clinic for any young people who attend William Bradford Community College. This is held between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm on Mondays at the College.
Health Checks Health checks are encouraged for all our patients. If you are aged between 16 and 75 and would like a health check and advice on your health, please make an appointment with the Nurse. Please bring a urine sample when attending your appointment.
If you are over 75, we offer an annual health check with the Nurse at the surgery, or at home if you are house bound.
If we are aware that you are a carer, you will be offered an annual health check.
Immunisation of Children Clinics are held on Tuesdays from 1:30 pm onwards. Appointments are sent out by the Health Authority, please bring your computer card with you. If you are unable to attend the appointment due to illness, a further appointment will be sent. If you are delegating the responsibility of bringing your child for immunisation to another person (i.e. grandparent, childminder etc.) please provide a letter of written consent for your child to be vaccinated.

Immunisation for Foreign Travel Please make an appointment with the Nurse at least 6 to 8 weeks before you travel. Please complete a travel questionnaire and bring this to your appointment. The questionnaire can be collected from reception, or downloaded
here.
Minor Surgery Our specially equipped treatment room allows us to do some minor operations under local anaesthetic.
Well Man/Woman These offer cervical smears, chest & breast awareness advice, blood pressure, urine and weight checks. Appointments are with the nurse.
